Welcome to the best website for real estate in Wilmette, Winnetka and Evanston. (Okay, I may be a little biased, but I do think the information you'll find here is unique and helpful.) I represent buyers and sellers interested in Wilmette, Evanston, and Winnetka and the surrounding areas. I work with Sellers who want innovative marketing tactics and aggressive exposure for their property. With Buyers, our objective is to provide smart information to help them make a better purchase decision. This site, DSAHomes.com, focuses on making you smarter about real estate in Wilmette, Winnetka and Evanston.
At the local level in Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth and Evanston, information and knowledge are mandatory if you are to do well in this real estate market. These markets have not done as poorly as other markets nationally but you still have to be careful. I use this website to publish lots of information from current active listings to recently sold listings, quarterly reports of the three major markets - Wilmette, Evanston and Winnetka - and much more. If I come across interesting articles I'll either post links here or on my blog. You'll find more info of mine on trulia.com and Zillow.com. Bottomline, you are invited to visit this site often.
New Trier Building Referendum
|
The referendum was voted DOWN by an overwhelming majority. Everyone I spoke with had an opinion and wants the best for our students. But the theme I heard most often was, "Why is it so expensive?" At a time when most families are watching every dollar, the thought of an additional $300 on our property taxes was a deterrent. I have to say that the Channel 2 news story on the project certainly didn't help the promote it. In the segment, Jay Levine compared the project to other area school projects (many totally new buildings) which cost a fraction of the proposed $184million. I'm sure that left many wondering "Why?"

Open Houses and the Super Bowl
|
It's Super Bowl Weekend and the real estate industry usually takes a breather. There are just under 100 open houses scheduled for Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston and Kenilworth. You can get an Open House List for each community selecting this link. Next week, look for many more opens. I expect to see a lot of homes come on the market next week.
And, since the Super Bowl begins a little after 5:30 PM, I thought a poll would be fun - here's your chance to predict a winner.
